KINGS OF ARMENIA MINOR. Mithradates, circa 180s-170s BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 10 mm, 0.48 g, 6 h). Draped bust of Mithradates to left, bearded and wearing upright bashlyk tied with a diadem. Rev. [𐡌𐡕𐡓𐡊𐡕] ('mtrdt' in Aramaic) Lion walking left. Kovacs 28 corr. ('Mithradates I of Sophene'). Rare and unusually attractive. Flan fault on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
